Ski... what??

Horses... skis... jumps... snow... sunshine... beers...

May sound like heaven. And hey, it may be heaven, but it's also just another weekend in Jackson Hole.  Welcome to the sport of skijoring!  Hosted by the Shriners, the cowboy and ski cultures of Jackson collided last weekend to put on a show that hasn't been seen in this valley for 10 years. Imagine water skiing but sub a horse in for a boat, snow for the water, and 5.5' jumps for waves.  With skiers reaching close to 45 MPH while slaloming through gates and launching off jumps, this wasn't an activity for the faint of heart.  No surprise then to find our own Bubba Albrecht out there, shredding down the course on a snowboard. He did the team proud and walked away with a grin on his face to tell the story (phew).  A good weekend all around, even for those of us cheering from the sidelines. It just doesn't get much better than a bluebird day with friends enjoying several aspects of the inter-mountain west. Just one more way to Give'r!
