1. How can I use my Give'r 4-season leather gloves?
Most people only think about using these insulated leather work gloves for cold weather, but that's not all they're good for. These gloves are perfect for practically any activity any time of year. Of course, you can use them for winter activities like snowboarding. But you can also use them in the spring for an early morning hike, riding horses in the summer, or building a campfire in the fall. Plus, the leather construction means that they're tough and durable, so you can count on them to last for a long time.
2. Which glove/mitten is best for me?
Choosing the right glove or mitten depends on your activities, weather conditions, and personal preferences. If you need gloves for colder weather activities like skiing, snowboarding, or winter work, the 4-Season Gloves are a great option. These gloves are waterproof and insulated to keep your hands warm in harsh conditions while still allowing for flexibility. However, they may feel bulkier due to their extra insulation.
The Classic Give'r Gloves are perfect for everyday tasks, yard work, camping, and hiking. Made from durable leather, they get more comfortable as you wear them and are ideal for moderate weather. While they are lightweight and versatile, they may not provide heavy insulation for extreme cold.
If you are looking for warmth above all, the Frontier Mittens are our warmest option. Simply put, they are the mitten form of the 4-Season glove but they also have thicker insulation so your hands stay toasty no matter the activity.
3. The liner came out of my glove, what do I do?
This can happen because our lining is not sewn into the leather/waterproof membrane, as this would compromise the waterproof integrity. Here’s how to resolve the issue:
- Preheat your oven to 200°F.
- Place your gloves/mittens in the oven for 5 minutes. Ensure the black clasps connecting the gloves are pointing up and not resting on the oven shelf.
- Remove the gloves/mittens and carefully pull the liner out completely while keeping the fingers tucked into their designated slots.
- Insert your fingers into each slot, then push the liner back into the cuff using a fist and spread your fingers into their original leather slots.
- Wedge your fingers together and clench your hands a few times. This method mimics molding a heated ski boot footbed or a mouthguard.
- Tip: When removing the gloves, pinch the middle finger to keep the lining in place.
