The new 2.0s take all the best characteristics of their predecessor and add a laminate layer for a smoother fit. Gardening, home improvement, yard work, construction projects, splitting wood, cattle catchin’…these gloves are ready to give’r right out the gate. And take heed, the laminate layer is not an insulative layer. Think of it more as a hand-holding, stretch-withstanding layer that is ultra thin and fits like a glove without adding any extra warmth.

Wax or No Wax? All Lightweight pairs come unwaxed. We assure you these warm-weather workhorses are ready to go from the moment you slip ‘em on. But if high abrasion work is in your future - mending fence, handling barbed wire, working at a lumber mill - these gloves will take to a wax coating like cowboy butter to a ribeye. If you plan to wax your pair, check out this video or send us an email for tips and tricks.

Important Lightweight Glove Sizing Information

The Lightweight style is designed to be a relaxed fit. If this is your first pair of Give'r gloves, use the sizing chart to find your fit. If you prefer your gloves to fit snug, we recommend sizing down a whole size from your determined size.

If you're a returning Give'r customer, we recommend ordering one size smaller in the Lightweight style versus your preferred Give'r glove size. For example, if you have a Large pair of Classic Gloves, a Medium Lightweight Glove will be a similar fit.

Washing/Cleaning Tips:

1. Just don't clean 'em! Leather gloves look better with some good ol' dirt and grease and with time you'll come to love the new patina.

2. Can't resist cleaning your pair of gloves? Use a damp cloth (no soap!) to wipe away dirt from the surface of the work gloves and then dry them slowly in front of a fan.

Tried-N'-True Drying Techniques:

1. *Fastest* Place your thin leather work gloves on a boot/glove warmer. Make sure you create a gap for airflow on the elastic cuff.

2. Place your thin leather work gloves on their sides in front of a standard fan, ensuring maximum airflow. Put a paper towel tube in the wrist cuff to assist with airflow.

3. Use any accessible products that absorb moisture or allow for airflow (i.e. shoe dehydrator, newspaper, etc.) and place them in the sun.

DO NOT:

1. Wring out like a dish towel

2. Place too close to the fire

3. Place on your car exhaust

4. Turn inside out

5. Place on a radiator

6. Place in microwave

2. On first wear, my Give'r gloves are snug — is this normal?

Yes! Our leather gloves are designed to fit snugly at first, as they'll begin breaking in on the first use. The leather itself will gradually mold to your individual hands the more you use them, becoming an extension of your hand and fingers for a comfortable, tailored fit. We recommend breaking in your work gloves by using them for light activities at first, such as household chores or gardening. The more you use them, the better they'll fit and the more comfortable they'll be.

3. Can I expedite the break-in process for these leather gloves?

When it comes to the best leather work gloves, having the perfect fit is key to both performance and overall comfort as the wearer. That's why we always recommend breaking in your Lightweight Gloves before you take them out on the trail. This time and love will give you a final result you'll be stoked on. However, we also understand that breaking in a pair of great gloves can take time. If you want to expedite the break-in process, try our Oven Method.

4. How can I make these leather gloves last as long as possible?

The key to making our leather gloves last as long as possible is patience and proper storage. First and foremost, always take your time putting your work gloves on and taking them off. This may seem like common sense, but it's easy to rush and pull the seams out of place. In addition, make sure you haven't stretched the leather gloves out of shape — this will cause them to wear down more quickly.

If you're not going to be using these great gloves for an extended period of time, it's important to store them in a cool, dry place. This will help to prevent the leather from cracking and becoming brittle.

With a little bit of patience and proper care, your leather gloves will last for years to come.

5. Why should I add initials to my Give'r gloves?

Because the most kick-ass name brand is your own. Adding your initials to your leather gloves can be a smart move for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, it can help you easily identify your work gloves if they become separated from you. Once you have the best gloves that are just your style, you don't want to risk losing them. Adding your initials can be a way to ensure that they don't get mixed up with anyone else's. Moreover, adding your initials can add a touch of personalization to your apparel. If you're someone who likes to make a personal statement with your clothing, this is a great way to do it. Not only will it make your work gloves stand out, but it will also show that you put some thought into choosing them.

6. Can I wax the Lightweight Give'r Gloves?

While your thin leather work gloves come unwaxed, you can wax them yourself using beeswax if you want some additional weatherproofing. First, heat your oven up to 150 degrees and put the gloves inside leaning up against each other, making a triangular shape (black attachment claps facing up). Then:

• Take the gloves out after 2 minutes and put both gloves on. Make sure the gloves are not too hot on the outside.

• Scoop up the beeswax (slightly smaller than a ping pong ball size) and spread it all over every area of each glove. 

• Place the gloves back in the oven, like before, for 10 minutes.

• Pull them out and let them dry.

7. What Kind of Wax Should I Use?

Beeswax. We use Sno Seal for our waxing needs, however, any non-silicon based beeswax is just fine. The wax helps to preserve and extend the lifespan of the leather. These can generally be found at your local hardware store or online.
