Team Give'r - 38th Annual Pole Pedal Paddle - March 30, 2013
On Saturday March 30, hundreds of competitors came together to participate in a fundraising race for the Jackson Hole Ski and Snowboard Club. The 38th Annual Jackson Hole Pole, Pedal, Paddle consists of a 4 part relay race, and multiple divisions ranging from competitive to the "fun" class. Both individuals and teams took part in the race which proceeded as follows: First - Downhill GS race dropping approximately 4,300ft at Jackson Hole Mtn Resort, Second - a 3km Cross Country leg, Third - An 18 mile road bike, Final Leg - Covering 8 miles of the Snake River on kayak/boat/canoe/anything that floats. While Team Give'r didn't break any records, there was no doubt that fun was had by all as team members piled into a raft and maintained a leisurely pace down the Snake on a gorgeous Spring day. Many thanks go to the countless volunteers who organized and directed the event, as without your help, this wouldn't be possible.
The many competitors and spectators witnessed an unreal range of weather and temperature as we saw snow, rain, fog, wind, sleet, ice and sunshine. From insane athletes to those just having a good time, this was surely a Give'r friendly event that we were pumped to be a part of. Cheers to Team Give'r competitors (as pictured above) - Ned Chanatry, Catherine Nix, Rob McCary and Connor Close.
Only 360 days till next years' competition...
