**Our wax coating adds extra protection, conditioning, and durability, but it's not what makes these waterproof. The internal waterproof membrane does the heavy lifting, keeping your hands dry while the leather develops a one-of-a-kind patina with use. For waxed gloves and mittens, when water stops beading and starts soaking in, it's time to rewax.

Children's Mitten sizing is simple! You know your child best, especially how they compare to their peers when it comes to age-estimated clothing. Use your judgment, but here is our go-to recommendation:

Size 1 - Children Ages 1-2 years old

Size 3 - Children Ages 3-4 years old

Size 5 - Children Ages 5-6 years old

Size 7 - Children Ages 7-8 years old

If between sizes, we recommend going with the larger option. For children ages 9+, we recommend our Frontier Mitten size XS.
