Helpful Tips:
1. If you're looking for a snug fit that may require breaking the mitts in, we recommend going with the size based on your hand measurements.

Break-In & Fit
Close your eyes and picture your favorite cowboy boots, baseball glove, or wallet. Likely it looks worn in, perfectly molded to YOUR body - right? It wasn't always that way! Our Frontier Mitts, like all Give'r Gloves, are meant to get better with time as well. When they arrive at your house (thanks to speedy shipping!) they may be snug and stiff - this is normal and ideal! Instead of returning them for a different size, we recommend using them, breaking them in, and trying the Oven Method. This process will undoubtedly give you the best fit in the long run!
Care
Washing/Cleaning Tips:
- Just don't clean 'em! Leather mittens look better with some good ol' dirt and grease and with time you'll come to love the new patina.
- Can't resist? Use a damp cloth (no soap!) to wipe away dirt from the surface of the leather mitts and then dry them slowly in front of a fan.
Tried-N'-True Drying Techniques:
- *Fastest* Place your mitts on a boot/glove warmer. Make sure to create a gap for airflow on the elastic cuff.
- Place your leather mitts on their sides in front of a standard fan, ensuring maximum airflow. Put a paper towel tube in the wrist cuff to assist with airflow.
- Use any accessible products that absorb moisture or allow for airflow (i.e. shoe dehydrator, newspaper, etc.) and place them in the sun.
DO NOT:
- Wring out like a dish towel
- Place too close to the fire
- Place on your car exhaust
- Turn inside out
- Place on a radiator
- Place in microwave

FAQ's
1. If in between sizes, what should I do?
Finding the right size cold-season glove can be tricky. You should always start by making use of our sizing chart, measuring your hand, and checking the recommended size based on your measurements. However, some people may find their measurements don't line up perfectly with the chart. If you're in between sizes, we recommend sizing up! A larger size will give you a little more room to work with, and will help ensure a comfortable fit for your Frontier mitts.
2. On first wear, my mittens are snug - is this normal?
Leather mitts, specifically those with insulation, take a little getting used to. Yes, these mitts are designed to be snug at first, as they will begin breaking in on first use. The insulation will pack out and begin to fully fill the leather outer shell. The leather itself will begin to break in and form to your individual hands. The more they're used, the better they'll fit as they become an extension of your hand and fingers. This means that your hands will stay warmer, for longer, in cold weather conditions. So, don’t be afraid to break these burly mittens in – the more you use them, the better they'll work for you.
3. How often should I re-wax my Frontier Mittens?
Re-waxing needs vary greatly from person to person. Some people never re-wax their Give'r mitts at all and are completely fine, while others re-wax every season to add extra weatherproofing before being outside a lot. The more you use 'em, the more you should re-wax - especially if doing abrasive tasks like handling barbed wire. Doing it yourself? Any all-natural beeswax (SnoSeal works great) will do just fine!
4. How do I re-wax my Frontier Mitts?
The process of re-waxing your Give'r Frontier Mittens is quite simple. Start by ensuring the leather mitts are clean and free from any dirt or debris. Next, heat up some natural beeswax - this can be done by microwaving it for a few seconds or melting it over a stovetop. Be careful not to overheat the wax as this could damage the mitten leather.
Once melted, apply the beeswax liberally to the surface of the mittens using a brush (if desired) to help distribute it evenly. Allow the wax to soak in for several minutes before buffing with a cloth to remove any excess beeswax. That's all there is to it! Your newly waxed mitts should now appear shiny and will be better protected against harsh elements going forward.
5. What's the purpose of a wax coating on leather?
The wax coating on our leather mitts is not the waterproofing element, but it does provide additional leather protection. Leather will show water absorption, and the waterproof membrane in our mitten's construction protects them from external moisture. Instead, the wax coating protects the leather from becoming brittle in winter weather, which can lead to cracking and other damage. So, while the wax coating itself may not make the mitts waterproof, it does help to protect them from other elements that could cause damage and make them less effective.
6. Can I expedite the break-in process?
When it comes to the best mittens, having the perfect fit is key to both performance and overall comfort as the wearer. For the best possible fit and performance from your Give'r Frontier Mittens, we recommend that you break them in before using them in cold weather. This time and care will give you a final result you'll be stoked on.
Though this process may take some time, there are ways to speed up the process. Check out The Oven Method video in the “Videos” tab above!
7. How are Give'r mitts insulated?
Our Frontier Mittens feature a soft Thinsulate insulation system, which is made up of tiny microfibers that trap warmth effectively. Furthermore, because Thinsulate is synthetic and doesn't absorb water, it's an ideal choice for winter gear like these mitten-style gloves.
These mitts with Thinsulate insulation are the perfect choice for anyone looking for a warm and comfortable mitten. They're perfect for winter weather activities, like skiing or snowboarding, or for just keeping your hands warm on a cold day.
8. How can I make my mitten-style leather gloves last as long as possible?
One of the great things about our Give'r Frontier Mittens is that they can last for years with proper care. To ensure your Give'r Mittens last as long as possible, be sure to take your time putting them on and taking them off, avoiding stretched seams. This may seem obvious, but it's easy to rush and pull the seams out of place. In addition, make sure you haven't stretched the leather gloves out of shape — this will cause them to wear down more quickly. If you're not going to be using your mitts for an extended period of time, store them in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight to prevent the leather from cracking or becoming brittle. With a little bit of patience and proper care, your mitten-style gloves will last for years to come.
9. How can I use my Give'r Frontier Mitts?
The Frontier Give'r Mitten is perfect for a wide range of activities. Made from durable leather, these winter gloves will keep your hands warm and protected from the elements; rain or shine. They're perfect for activities like hiking, riding bikes, downhill skiing, or even building a campfire. Plus, the insulated and comfortable construction means you can wear them all day without having to worry about cold hands. So if you're in need of a good pair of mitts for any activity, these leather gloves are a perfect choice.
10. Why would I add initials to my leather gloves?
Adding your initials to your Frontier Mittens can help you in a couple of ways. Most importantly, it'll let you easily identify your gloves if they get separated from you. It's important to have a set of winter weather gloves that fit well and are style, so adding your name will make sure that no one accidentally takes yours.
Most people choose leather gloves based on their style and functionality. However, you can also make a statement with your mitts by adding your initials to them. This will add a touch of personalization and show that you put some thought into choosing them.

New warmer mittens
Over a year ago I purchased a pair of the All Season Giv’r gloves and have really utilized them this winter with 260 percent of normal snow. The gloves did not keep my fingers as warm as I had expected. I wrote Giv’r about my experience and they gave me full credit for those gloves! I used the credit to purchase the Mittens and what a difference when you are snowblowing and shoveling snow. Great product—I love my mittens!!

My Warmest Gloves
Warmest gloves I’ve ever had. Too warm! Definitely my go to glove once temperatures reach the teens. And they look cool to boot! Thanks give’r!

Amazing product, amazing customer service
This product has met and exceeded all of my expectations. In addition to an exceptional product the customer service is amazing. I ordered the wrong size gloves and when I needed to change the size the customer service very accommodating and super easy to contact and deal with. Love the product, love company! Give’r!!!

BEST EVER!!!!!
I can't say enough about how fantastic these gloves are! Definitely pricey, but warm hands are worth every penny!!! I've wasted so much money trying to find warm gloves and I should've bought these years ago!! I get so many compliments and questions out on the hill. I'm a type 1 diabectic and my circulation isn't the best. I haven't needed hand warmers since I got these mittens and sometimes my hands are even sweaty!

Giver is the best
5 stars for sure
