Give'r Leather Glove Reviews From Experts In Their Fields

With the arrival of winter glove season, we've seen a steady increase in the number of questions around how Give'r gloves handle in certain conditions. While we've done our best to test all three styles of gloves in as many situations as we can imagine, we recognize that there are always new ways to put them to the test

So, to get further feedback for you all, we turned to friends, family, ambassadors and customers who are all experts in fields where we are just novices. Here is what they had to say ...

The 4-Season Gloves proved essential for prepping and executing a proper Texas style backyard BBQ! We used the gloves when welding the rebar BBQ frame, managing the coals, flipping the pig, and monitoring the whole process which involved a lot of heat and some heavy lifting.  — Adam (@adamcno)

Give'r Leather Gloves Review - Work Gloves, Ski Gloves, Custom Gloves, Winter Gloves "Rugged, Reliable and Durable," are the three keywords that come to mind when asked how my Give'r Gloves performed on the sailing trip. My greatest challenge leading into an offshore trip is packing; the fear of not being prepared for such chilling low temps. I ask myself, will my gear hold up and provide peak performance? What if I get wet? Did I pack enough back up clothing and gear? What if the heater below deck craps out? Will my fingertips survive or get frostbite on watch? Are my gloves waterproof for picking up freezing cold mooring ball lines that are typically covered in thick seaweed once our destination is reached. Soaking wet gloves in Maine's extreme water temps is frostbite waiting to happen. Be smart, safety first!  — Jillian (@jillianhawes)

A good glove that is broken in to fit your hand is essential on the ranch. Weather I'm handling horses, feeding cows or fixing fence, I absolutely love my Give-r gloves! Having smaller hands, I love that they are non bulky and I can trust that they will hold up for any task at hand.  — Jessica (@jessicagrayhuntingadventure)

I sought out these gloves after my last attempt at a durable, waterproof winter glove failed in the high peaks of the Adirondacks during an unexpected storm. These have broken in nicely and work comfortably in every task I've thrown at them. So far, no more "this pair of gloves is for ______." My Give'rs do it all! Now they've chopped and carried their first Christmas tree home.  — Dustin (@thedadinthenorth)

I have long used my trusty gloves deep in the backcountry while out on my sled. The gloves hold up in the harshest of conditions. I particularly like the gloves as they give me increased dexterity and an ability to feel my brake and throttle in ways previously unattainable in a winter work glove. Moreover, the gloves are bombproof and get the job done whether it be sunny and cold or warm and wet.  — Trevor (@trevspowder)

Give'r Leather Gloves Review - Work Gloves, Ski Gloves, Custom Gloves, Winter Gloves The Give'r gloves have formed so well to our hands that it doesn't feel like we're even wearing them anymore. We understand the phrase "fits like a glove" better than ever before. The gloves have helped us avoid countless blisters, jabs, cuts, scrapes, burns and shocks; we only wish the rest of our bodies could be so comfortable and well-protected.  — Quinn (@quinn_keller)

Hunting for elk and deer among the sprawling landscapes of the American West demands clothing and equipment that is versatile and durable. The Give'r Classic Gloves are my go-to choice for the cold, snowy days that make up much of the season throughout the Northern Rockies. These gloves are warm enough to keep my fingers toasty when hunkered down on a ridge for an hour of glassing open terrain, but remain light enough to keep wearing even while working up a sweat traversing the famously rugged country where my quarry resides. When the time comes to take a shot, the dexterous Classics provide all the finesse I need to effectively operate my rifle. — Conor (@cnphelan)

Give'r Leather Gloves Review - Work Gloves, Ski Gloves, Custom Gloves, Winter Gloves I started wearing Give'r gloves about a year ago and have since now purchased every glove they make! My favorite for working up high in the alpine are the 4-Season Gloves. These things are bad ass. They've been with me to Aconcagua, Denali, the North Cascades and more laps than I can count on Rainier keeping my hands warm and dry. As a guide, I need gear that's reliable and doesn't compromise my work so I can focus on my clients and the task at hand. These gloves are burly and I trust them, and if I'm not wearing them they're definitely in my pack (it's probably because I'm wearing the Lightweight or Classic gloves instead!).  — Jess (@jess_matthews2)

My Give'r Classic Gloves are a must have for every foray into the backcountry and also an everyday carry piece when the temperatures drop. I am a news and wedding photographer by trade and a weekend warrior on the trail and at the campsite. These gloves hold up great to chopping wood and stoking the fire on a cool night in the wilderness. To avoid those sweaty palms in the summer, I just swap out for my Lightweight Give'rs! I've traveled with these gloves from the fjords and mountains of New Zealand to the volcanic landscape of Yellowstone National Park to the backcountry shelters of the Appalachian Trail.

Whether on a summer hike down a mountain, autumn backpacking in the Sierras, winter backcountry skiing or spring photography in Antarctica, my 4 Season Gloves keep me wicked warm and determinedly dry. I can operate my camera and protect my fingers while capturing a fun shot! They also provide a comfy cushion between snow and tushy! — Anjelica (@avec_anjelica)

Give'r Leather Gloves Review - Work Gloves, Ski Gloves, Custom Gloves, Winter Gloves

I’m currently carrying 4-Season Give’r Gloves and Lightweight Give’r Gloves on most of my personal climbing outings as well as guiding. When guiding, the 4-season Gloves tends to live in my pack and are my trusted warm-me-up when needed for myself or a client. On personal trips to the alpine, I tend to wear these very warm and durable gloves for hours on end and it’s pretty hard (maybe impossible?!) to soak them through or get cold fingers. The Lightweight Gloves live on my hands when guiding or during an approach to a personal alpine climb. They are my all-purpose workhorse that keeps my hands in good shape as the days roll by. I’m so attached to them that they never go in my pack, I simply stuff them in my pocket when I don’t need them so I know they are ready at any moment. Relative to previous lightweight leather gloves I’ve worn, these are by far the most durable, lasting minimum twice as long as others. They are extremely soft and malleable and thus come ready to wear out of the box with exceptional comfort and dexterity. I go to war with these gloves daily and they never seem to fail! — Benny (@bennylieb)

Spending the majority of the winter season outside and in the elements, I count on my Give'r Gloves to keep things running smoothly. Guiding visitors in the wilderness on snowmachines is a true adventure, and for many it is their first time sledding. I've got to be on my game and ready to spring into action regardless of the weather or situation, and without reliable protection for my hands, I wouldn't be able to provide the experience our clients come for. Waterproof, warmth, durability and dexterity are what make this glove one of the essential parts of my rugged winter wardrobe.  — Jon (@flyphisher)
